In the Jaintia Hills, where 15 miners have been trapped in an illegal mine since December 13, the coal mafia reigns unchallenged.
A month after 15 coal miners were trapped by sudden flooding in an illegal rathole mine at Khloo Ryngksan in Meghalaya’s East Jaintia Hills district, the state government is now considering ceasing the rescue operation.
Two terrorists were killed in a gunfight with the security forces on Saturday in south Kashmir's Kulgam district.
The operation went underway after inputs were received of the presence of the terrorists in Yaripora, following which the area was cordoned off and a combing operation was carried out.
